Everything we ate was scrumptious! Cannot stress enough how fresh and unique and delicious was every morsel. The cold crab ceviche is particularly good, and their home made bread melts in the mouth -- easily the most surprising, rich, delicate, sublime restaurant bread we've ever eaten. Ambience is elegant, mellow and relaxed with lovely lighting and music. Service is personal. Owners are delighted to be there. Pricey, but not excessively so, and worth it. A real experience. Very romantic.

Doing a great job for brand new opening. Tapas is excellent staff is friendly. They have some good wines but could build inventory and knowledge. I highly recommend.

I can't really rate this place because it wasn't open on friday at 2pm like both it's recording and website state. If these aren't the hours then change the phone recording, website and post your hours in the window. A code enforcement officer asked the hours from a young man at the back door and was told they open "later" on friday. No time, just "later". We went to try it out and to get a gift certificate for a friend. We could see people inside and they hid when they saw us. What's up with that? At least come to the door and tell us when you will open. Now it's too late for our business. I don't see this place lasting long with a business model and people this out of touch with customer service. We'll just spend our money elsewhere. There are way too many other places that WANT our business

This place needs a little work. High prices for very small portions, but good food overall. Service was slow.

After walking out of Cypress because of horrible service, we got a table here and were amazed. The server was super friendly and helpful in choosing drinks. We had a lemon drop and mojito, and they were made with all fresh ingredients and super tasty. We each had a first course/appetizer and both were fantastic. The entrees were also top notch, as were the desserts. Portions were appropriate, and everything tasted superb. The server was excellent and the food was even better. Total cost for our meal (cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desserts) was $75. Not too bad in my book. We won't eat here every day, but we will definitely be back. The only downside is it was fairly loud and the seating wasn't very comfortable. Easy to overlook when everything else was so good.

Been looking forward to this place opening up in downtown OC. My husband and I stopped in for a glass of wine and I was pretty impressed by the wine list, plenty of choices by the glass, (not like that other wine bar around here that only offers one choice for each of the types of wine). Place was very busy but service was friendly and prompt. Didn't try any of the food tonight, but the wines that we had was very enjoyable. It was a little noisy in the place, but overall, a very nice visit. They even have a few tables outside. Looking forward to coming back and trying more!

What a lovely evening. Nebbiolo has amazing ambiance. Soft warm wood, sensual colors and a gentleman playing the piano in a unintrusive way. There is wine everywhere but they also have a good selection of spirits. I have been to Nebbiolo and found that the food was good but underseasoned. Not so this time around. Everything was well seasoned. The food portions are traditionally small. This is not a problem as long as you know before hand. If you are expecting large portions for the price you see you will be disappointed. Nebbiolo is pretty expensive but I was not offended by the price this time around because the food was worth the cost. We had the Formaggio, the Salumi, the Fungi, the Scampi, and the Creme Brulee. I love the selection of cheese they offer on the Formaggio plate. It contains one of my favorite goat cheeses, aged with red wine and often called the "drunken goat" cheese. Everything tasted wonderful after coming up to complete room temperature. They had a aged gouda too that was delicious. Overall I was not too impressed with the Salumi. The selection was okay but they were sliced paper thin and were poorly presented. I prefer my Salumi thin, but the yummy fat starts to melt off when sliced too thin. The Fungi was a pile of braised whole mushrooms with a sprig of rosemary. There was a pool of olive oil and brown bits at the bottom of the small bowl and that was divine, just begging to have bread dipped in it! The prawns had amazing flavor but were overcooked. I am having a very hard time finding a restaurant that will serve properly cooked prawns. I expect it from a Italian bistro. The Creme Brulee was perfect, no complaints, they prepared it well. The portions here are small but tasty. It is a style of service that is specific and should be considered before dinning here. If you do not like tapas and smaller entrees, plan on ordering more food and having to pay more. Seriously stop by when they are not crowded (which they are especially on the weekends) for a glass of wine served properly and a small, delicious bite. Nebbiolo offers up a modern old-world style experience. Plenty of good energy, nice service and tasty treats.

My friend and I came here for a light dinner after a day of wine tasting on the Gorge. We were tired but hungry. We chose the crab ceviche and the creamy polenta with a marinara sauce. Both were delicious. Our server Rebecca was friendly and helpful. The ambience was just right. Not loud but still lively. My wine was good. But it was hard to compare with Maryhill winery but still very good. I will be back.

Tapas was big about a decade ago, but Nebbiolo is keeping up the tradition. It's a welcome break from typical run of the mill appetizers during happy hours.

The food is delicious and the wine selection is very thorough. It's a family owned and operated restaurant. The owner was our server, his wife was also serving, the art work is made by his mother, his sister was the hostess, and the chef is his son. A very talented family that made us feel at home!

This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! It started with a slimy stale salume plate and just went down hill from there the odd little man that runs the dinning room wasn't rude but had a bad attitude and seemed overwhelmed even though there wasn't many people there. The menu doesn't seem to have a theme with a name like Nebbiola you would think it would be Northern Italian but you can't quite tell where or what type of cuisine this is, billing itself as a wine bar you would think it would have a better wine selection but its limited and boring, formaggio is dull and stale except for the disgusting salume plate no charcuterie either, a very nice ambience though!! Didn't feel trying the desserts was a safe bet so passed on them

Great food! Beautiful family owned restaurant and wine bar. The service is always attentive and kind. It has a warm and inviting, yet open and airy atmosphere. Their food is spectacular, really. I haven't had a dish I didn't like. The chicken is exceptional. The chocolate pot du creme is not to be missed and we often order multiple because again you can't go wrong.

My friend and I stopped in for a quick happy hour ( wine, clams and salmon tacos, not cheap) we were there less than an hour. The owner RUDELY told us he needed the table and asked us to leave. I live 2 blocks down and will NEVER return. This was the place I would bring my friends when they visit OC. I think the owner is getting a little big for his britches, beyond RUDE.

Let me start by saying that our server last night was excellent! (Blond gal). She was quick to take our orders, quick to get out our food and quick to fill our waters. She was totally willing to take some photos for us and allowed us happy hour items after happy hour had ended. What she said was that management allowed happy hour customers to order additional items at happy hour prices, if they had been there during the happy hour time frame. That's not to say that you can show up after happy hour and get the reduced prices...but we'd already ordered quite a few food items and drinks and I wanted "Just one more" food item, since I hadn't ordered enough prior. That was a really big deal to me and will definite get my business back! The sliders are adequate in size and looked delicious (my friend ordered those). I got the blue cheese and walnut salad - which was decent sized as well....but should have know that "rabbit food" would not be filling enough for me. We also shared a cheese plate, but it wasn't very big and I could have easily eaten that myself - considering it had a red wine soaked goat cheese and 2 other amazing sharp cheeses. I also ordered a "Juice mojito" from the happy hour menu. Our server wasn't sure what the juice-of-the-day was and went to check. Upon coming back, she said the bartender would really like to try out a muddled blackberry one on me and asked if that sounded good. Oh yeah!! Blackberry's are my favorite! I was thrilled to get that on special and can say that I will never want a regular mojito again, if I can help it. As for the location, it's right downtown OC, where parking is free on the street after 5 pm M-F. That's $2-$3 cheaper for us than if we went downtown (where you have to pay until $1.50/hr until 7 pm). The restaurant itself has been remodeled and is really, really nice inside. Not that we cared so much - since it was gorgeous outside and we wanted to be in the sun. The restaurant was full and we were the only ones willing to brave the heat, but the rains will be here soon enough, so we needed to take full advantage. I am just so happy that downtown Oregon City has been rejuvenated! One could come down after work and bounce to 3 or 4 really great spots over the course of an evening. Nebbiolo being a not-to-miss location.

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine last evening at Nebbiola, and we are fans! The restaurant is family operated and very inviting. They made us feel special the second we walked in the door. The food is cooked to order, so please try to be patient. We were, and were happy with the outcome! The servings may not look big, but they are very filling! The wine selection is good and if you have a question about which would pare better with the meal, they were instantly willing to give us a taste of the different options available. In short....we will go back....we will bring friends and family....they will be impressed :-)

We met here on a Wednesday night after work and ended up staying 3 hours~wine, food and live music made the trip well worth it! Friendly staff and a delicious antipasto plate to accompany a lovely Pinot Noir...we'll be back :-)

This was a great place! The wine was good, and so was the atmosphere. Very friendly staff as well. I recommend this place if you're in Oregon City. I got the mushroom ravioli. The sauce was excellent, and it came with bread. I do have to say, if you need a handicap spot, the only one is on the street next to a curb. That's my only complaint.

I went here with two girlfriends for happy hour around Christmas. One waitress was working and she was super friendly but busy, although the place was not packed. The owner, Joe, came from around the bar to take our order and did NOT seem happy about it. He was visibly irritated at questions one friend asked, and was completely rude. It continued as he brought us our food, and when the other friend called him out on it he said "you're rude and I don't have to effing take this!". Really!!! It was actually worse then it sounds. Will we EVER go back there....NO! I had recommended it as I had been there before and loved it. I don't think he was there at that time, but I see from other reviews he is not very friendly!

This is a lovely wine bar with a great name!! The waitstaff has always been great and today Charles was as wonderful as ever. I live in Portland and will drive out to come here! The first time I was here the owner was here and took time to chat w me about their wines and even opened a bottle of Prosecco just for me to taste!! Great service and wine selection--- and you can buy a bottle to go w no corkage! Oh and they do wine flights which I am a sucker for! So highlights for me: great service, quality stemware, diverse menu, full bar and espresso as well, nice light w high ceilings... Really the list goes on! Thinking of hosting some future parties here. Thanks Nebbiolo!

Decent food. Good service. Nice, classy-ish decor. High prices. (especially for OC).

It really should be a 1 star...Really! This place is horribly priced for VERY small portions. That's just to start this review off! The location is great, but once you walk inside it is SO loud you can not carry on a conversation! The sound in this place is awful! The service was alright...The $9.25 pour of wine was horrible, not the wine, the small amount in my glass. Come on, give some value. Would we go back? NO, Would we ever like to see our friends or family go here? NO

We have dined here a few times since they opened, but tonight was truly special. The service was great as our waitress did a great job of not rushing us and being very pleasant. I would highly recommend their organic salad, which has a hand made dressing that was to die for. I had the steamer clams which were great and my wife had the scampi which she thought was fantastic. So this dining experience was very special.

Great tapas, desserts, and crazy as it sounds I love the 4 barrel Manhattan. Amazing decor, was the old Weinhard's building. Amazing character with the original exposed brick walls and hard wood floors.

This place could have it all; it's beautifully renovated, has a great wine selection, a decent menu and Yvette (owner/chef) is amazing, all things historic Oregon City has been missing for a long time The down side noticed by two different groups I was with on two different occasions is the owner, Joe. He might have a good business sense however he needs a lot of polishing as far as customer service, friendliness and good manners none of which were apparent both times we were there. Its obvious he has a great concept and idea for this place but his attitude toward his guests' is "after you spend your money then go away kid you're bothering me". If this was a one time event I wouldn't even think twice as we all have a bad day occasionally but this seems to be his M.O. all the time from what we've seen. So if you want good wine and a nice atmosphere, this is the place but gracious, customer service needs polishing.

The food here is outstanding. Stopped in our way home to Seattle to get a bite to eat & I was totally blown away. Great service & wine selection.they had 20 different wines by the glass for under &10.00 which is a great deal for really good wine. The atmosphere was so relaxing.. I would definitely come back again..

After a long day of work and being without our child my wife decided we needed a nice little date so we went to Nebbiolo, which we had been very curious to try. We started by getting two appetizers the calamari and the shrimp scampi and then we ordered the pan seared salmon to share as the entree. The calamari was par for the course. It was fried in a light batter and had a fairly mild but great flavor for the dipping aioli. The shrimp scampi was phenomenal! The shrimp was cooked to give it the texture of lobster and the sauce had the best flavor! My wife was soaking the bread in the sauce after the shrimp was gone, which must have been apparent being the waitress came and asked if we wanted more bread to dip, lol. Next came the pan seared salmon this salmon was to die for! The sear on the salmon was crisp and flavorful and the salmon was tender and flaky. The risotto and cream of mushroom sauce was SOOO good, we wiped the plate clean. All in all this was a great place. The menu is small but all the food was great. I think the two dollar sign for price is a little off it seemed spending to me but great food.

I love this restaurant, the family owned business vibe is very charming, I stopped to eat with my boyfriend for a birthday dinner. We got quite a few tapas and the. The lamb and tenderloin. I cannot believe food like this exists in Oregon city, very impressive! The Granchio Nebbiolo is wonderful. I definitely recommend it. Service is good, the girls are sweet. Oregon city needed this. Perfect place to bring your friends and share food and wine.

Nebbiolo is just what downtown Oregon City needed. Great wine, superior small plate food and well crafted cocktails. This is a great spot. The interior is upscale and comfortable. On a nice day the sidewalk tables can't be beat. Wines focus on local vintners, some well known, others more obscure but all unbeatable. The cheese and meat boards are delicious. It's too bad Nebbiolo isn't open for lunch but for an early afternoon snack or a dinner date this place is perfect.

What a great addition to downtown Oregon City. We recently got married and had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Nebbiolo and loved it. Joe and Yvette have great customer service and take great pride in what they do. Our server Heidi has been delightful both times we have been in there. The food was awesome and the portions are healthy. They were very helpful with planning a large party and even went so far as to match our wedding colors, so thoughtful! It's the simple little touches that make this place a gem.

  • Kate D.

There is no doubt that the food here is excellent. I think Nebbiolo is more known for wine, but I am not a wine person. I get the fomaggi (cheese plate) and the mushroom ravioli. The cannolis are also really great. There are only a couple of negatives for me to say. Service can sometimes be slow, but not all the time. The portions are a little small for the cost, it can be expensive. Overall, it is a great place to eat.

Love having a wine bar in oc! Set up is nice and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Pricey on apps however and not very large portions. Excited to see them evolve

I went here on a Tuesday evening because Mi Familia wasn't open. We've had OK service here before. We were seated at the bar and it took over 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. I tried a wine that it turned out I loved but instead of buying the bottle for $30 there thought I'd see if I could find it at a store on my way home. We tried to order an appetizer and they were all out of what we wanted. Bummer. I could see the guy was stressed out but the ladies at the bar next to us were getting better service than my husband and myself, so we paid or tan and left. Oh.. I found that bottle of wine I loved at Fred Meyer for $8.50!! That's how much I paid for my glass. Maybe I'm just cheap, but this place wasn't worth what I spent and I love Oregon City businesses as I've lived here my entire life and want to keep my money here but next time if Mi Familia isn't open I'll be going elsewhere.

We had a small gathering there and the food, service, and wine was excellent. The appetizers were displayed beautifully. My only complaints are: 1) when we booked the venue we were under the impression that the restaurant would be closed for the two hours of our event and that is why we chose the random 2 hours (3-5 pm on a Wednesday). The restaurant was not closed and four different times I watched strangers eat from our appetizers without anyone behind the counter saying a word or asking if they were a guest of the party. 2) it was ridiculously hot inside the restaurant. Granted, it was a very hot day, however, their fans were set to "winter mode" (spinning the wrong way and pushing the heat down) and there was no a/c or it was not working. It was really hot.

Thanks for being in downtown Oregon City My new hang out for wine and tapas I had the tomato soup which was served hot and tasty.

If you love wine and awesomely prepared dishes this is a great place! Their selection of Barbera wines are fantastic! We have had almost everything on their one page menu and was not disappointed once. Owners and staff are great keeping customers happy and wine glasses filled. It's a great place for date night with live music on Saturday nights or just to sample some different wines and great food! It's a must try place if you're ever in Oregon City!

The food is absolutely incredible. We were there on a very busy Friday night, and the waitress was obviously struggling to keep up, but she kept her positive attitude and handled everything as best she could. Everyone was super friendly, and again, the food was absolutely worth every bit of the wait. I had the chicken with Brussels sprouts. We shared the garlic and brie. My husband had fish and chips. All amazing. Maybe try it on a less busy night?

Another great time at Nebbiolo! Our server, Rebecca, suggested a wonderful wine, and the service was perfect, as usual! We ordered three very different meals and they were all delicious. My steak was cooked exactly right, and I'm very picky! We will be back, no doubt!

A great addition to the Oregon City food scene! We love the small plates and have never had a bad experience. The people care and they have live music on certain days that adds to the wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved everything we had here. And the owner was an absolute delight. We had the ceviche and asparagus and both we great but the ceviche was nothing short of heavenly. Fantastic food, amazing drinks, fun service. We will all absolutely be back!!
